Job Title: Water Quality Data Administrator
Location: Falmer (Hybrid between office and home)
Contract Type: 12-month fixed-term contract (potential for extension)
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Salary: Up to £36,500
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven individual to join our Water Quality team as a Data Administrator. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of water quality sampling data, supporting regulatory compliance and protecting public health and the environment.
1. Hybrid working is available (typically two days per week in the office, usually Tuesday).
What You Will Be Responsible For:
You will work closely with internal teams and external contractors, following documented workflows and resolving data-related issues. This is a highly structured role, ideal for someone who enjoys consistency, accuracy, and working with data.
2. Maintain accurate water quality sampling data in line with regulatory and internal standards
3. Follow documented workflows and processes to complete tasks consistently and accurately
4. Use Microsoft Excel to manage, analyse, and report data effectively
5. Liaise with internal teams and external contractors to resolve data discrepancies
6. Support audit activities and address data-related non-conformities
7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of data management processes
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
Essential:
8. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
9. Proficient in Microsoft Excel (functions, formulas, basic data analysis)
10. Good organisational and time management skills
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
12. Effective communication skills for internal and external liaison
Desirable:
13. Previous experience in data administration or auditing
14. Knowledge of water quality processes or regulatory compliance
