We are seeking Registered Nurses or Operating Department Practitioners to join our orthopaedic theatre scrub team within the elective theatre department at Wansbeck General Hospital. This role also supports our emergency stream at Northumbria Hospital, including weekends and out-of-hours shifts.
Previous theatre experience is advantageous; however, a comprehensive training package is available for newly qualified staff or those new to the theatre environment.
The successful candidate should be motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering safe, high-quality care.
Full-time positions are available; part-time hours may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver excellent standards of care and support patients throughout the peri-operative phase, advocating on their behalf.
2. Undertake scrubbed and circulating roles, maintaining a safe environment and practice.
3. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and supervise junior staff and students.
4. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care under senior supervision.
5. Maintain high clinical standards and exercise accountability per the NMC Code.
6. Develop skills and contribute to managing a clinical area, taking charge in the absence of senior staff.
7. Model compassionate and inclusive leadership to foster a positive team culture.
