We are looking for flexible and confident Prison Careers Adviser (CIAG Adviser / FRT) to work with offenders in custody and help them prepare for employment on release from prison. You will be allocated a central base of work in Nottingham but will need to work at different prison sites when coverage is needed. We pay excess mileage expenses at 55p a mile for this.
If you have experience working with offenders or other disadvantaged groups and want to make a difference, we would love to hear from you. The job involves working with prisoners to prepare them for starting a new life on release and breaking the cycle of reoffending. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to individuals and communities.
We are especially interested in applicants with experience helping offenders or vulnerable groups to progress in their lives. If you can connect with people to support their development, work effectively in a prison environment, adhere to contract quality and compliance standards, and work towards individual targets, we encourage you to apply.
We will provide all necessary training, including funding for the IAG Level 4 qualification if you do not already hold it. Our teams are supportive and friendly to new starters, helping them settle into the role.
The contract requires a 37.5-hour workweek, with flexitime options available. When staff are asked to work extra hours, they are compensated with time off at a later date. This is a great benefit of working for Career Connect.
A full job description can be downloaded at the bottom of this page. The salary range for CIAG Advisers is £26,485 - £30,012 per year.
If you're ready to join a high-performing team and contribute to changing lives, we want to hear from you. For an informal discussion about the vacancy, please contact us. Interviews will be conducted via MS Teams on 19th September.
