On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is currently seeking an experienced Receiver for a manufacturing facility located in Ayr, ON.
This opportunity is best suited for someone with hands-on shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing environment who is confident operating a forklift, highly organized, and comfortable working with inventory systems and documentation.
Shift: Days: 6: am – 2: pm Monday – Friday, must be available for Mandatory Saturday overtime
Pay Rate: $./hr + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly! Paid breaks, overtime pay after hours.
Responsibilities:
1. Safely operate a forklift to unload incoming deliveries and transport raw materials throughout the facility
2. Verify incoming shipments and ensure all required paperwork, packing slips, and certifications are complete and accurate
3. Enter receiving details into the ERP system and maintain accurate receiving records
4. Organize and store materials while following FIFO procedures and maintaining inventory accuracy
5. Perform cycle counts and assist with monthly and year-end inventory counts
6. Move materials to designated quarantine areas as required
7. Support shipping and material handling departments when needed
8. Maintain a clean, organized work area while following 5S standards
9. Assist with general warehouse and inventory organization tasks
Requirements:
10. Minimum 1 year of receiving experience within a manufacturing environment
11. Previous forklift operating experience required
12. Strong computer skills with experience using ERP systems, Outlook, and inventory software
13. Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage priorities effectively
14. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
15. Knowledge of inventory procedures and material flow processes
16. Excellent attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping abilities
17. Reliable transportation required (location is not bus accessible)
18. Grade diploma or equivalent
19. CSA approved footwear required
20. Dependable, motivated, and willing to learn
