General Summary:
Under the authority of the vice-president of the department, the production planner will ensure the planning and detailed forecasting of events as well as coordination with the various teams.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Control all established inventory levels and plan manufacturing and primary packaging to maintain a minimum of 4 weeks of inventory available for final packaging.
* Create weekly manufacturing schedules taking into account the capacity constraints (product, equipment, labour) identified for each work centre.
* Coordinate manufacturing to utilize machinery and labour to optimize performance;
* Control the pace of manufacturing by ensuring that deadlines are met;
* Publish weekly and monthly reports on performance and ensure that pre-established objectives are met;
* Liaise between sourcing, manufacturing, quality control, and final packaging.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated significant experience in a leadership role in operations planning and/or production management/coordination.
* Expertise in the management of operations schedules and coordination.
* Strategic thinking, organizational skills;
* Interpersonal skills and a strong ability to act as a liaison between multiple internal and external stakeholders;
* Excellent communicator both orally and in writing;
* Possess a strong sense of ethics;
* Problem-solving skills;
* Ability to work alone and as part of a team, under pressure, in a fast-paced environment, managing several projects with sometimes short deadlines;
* Very good computer knowledge and skills; (EXCEL++)
* Bilingualism is essential, both orally and in writing.
