Your expertisewill play a crucial role in delivering sustainable and efficientsolutions in the water industry. You will collaborate with adiverse team of Design engineers technicians Design houses andstakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects withinbudget and on schedule.
We are looking for a keyperson to elevate the OCU Group into AMP 8 and help to formulateour strategies going forward within the water sector nationwide. Wehave invested heavily in new technology and being at the forefrontof the industry is our key goal and we need the right person tohelp us get there.
The role can based from any ofthe North Westoffices.
Responsibilities:
1. Water System Design: Develop detailed designs for waterdistribution and treatment systems including pumps pipelines valvescontrol systems and electrical equipment. Ensure compliance withindustry standards codes and regulations.
2. Project Management: Lead and coordinate projects frominception to completion overseeing design implementation andcommissioning phases. Collaborate with other teams including civilengineers environmental engineers and constructionprofessionals.
3. Technical Expertise: Providespecialized knowledge and expertise in mechanical and electricalengineering aspects of water systems. Resolve complex technicalissues and provide innovative solutions to optimize projectoutcomes.
4. Cost Estimation: Prepare accuratecost estimates and budget projections for waterrelated projects.Monitor project expenses and make costeffective decisions to meetfinancial objectives.
5. Quality Assurance:Conduct thorough quality checks on design documents drawings andspecifications to ensure accuracy and adherence to projectrequirements.
6. Sustainability and EnvironmentalConsiderations: Integrate sustainable practices and environmentalconsiderations into design and construction processes aiming tominimize the impact on natural resources.
7. RiskManagement: Identify potential risks and challenges related toproject delivery and implement mitigation strategies to ensureproject success.
8. Client Engagement:Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements andobjectives. Regularly update them on project progress and addressany concerns or inquiries.
9. RegulatoryCompliance: Stay uptodate with industry regulations and standardsto ensure designs and projects meet all relevant legalrequirements.
10. Team Collaboration: Fostereffective communication and collaboration within the engineeringteam and other stakeholders to achieve seamless projectexecution.
Qualificationsand Requirements:
* Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical EngineeringElectrical Engineering or a related field.
* Professional Engineering (PE) licensure or CharteredEngineer status is preferred.
* Provenexperience in the design and management of waterrelated projectswith a focus on both mechanical and electrical systems.
* Indepth knowledge of water distribution treatmentprocesses and related equipment.
* Proficiencyin relevant design and analysis software/tools.
* Strong project management skills including the ability toprioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
* Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills to work effectively withdiverse teams and clients.
* Understanding ofsustainability principles and environmental considerations inengineering projects.
* Familiarity with UKwater industry regulations andcodes.
