A well-known Technology group seeks an experienced Interim Privacy Lead to support the delivery of a new project. The successful candidate will ensurepliance with legal and regulatory requirements while enabling business objectives. Hybrid role with several UK location options (some travel to other locations will be required)
Your new role
A key element of this project will be data separation activities associated with the creation of a new business. You will be working in a large programme team and this role requires the ability to collaborate with and influence multiple stakeholders across legal,pliance and other business areas.
Previous experience in data separation, demergers, or carve-outs is highly desirable.
1. You will own and deliver the privacy/data protection elements of the business setup.
2. Providing guidance on privacy implications of data separation, including risk assessments, data mapping, andpliance controls during migration.
3. Ensuring GDPR and other applicable privacy laws are adhered to throughout the transition.
4. Acting as the primary privacy advisor to project teams, influencing decisions to balancepliance, risk, and business needs.
5. Working closely with other teams to embed privacy into separation processes.
6. Identifying and mitigating privacy risks associated with data segregation and system changes.
7. Driving practical solutions and ensuring privacy is operationalised effectively within project timelines.
What you'll need to succeed
8. Strong experience in privacy/data protection within large andplex organisations.
9. Data Separation/Demerger Experience: Hands-on involvement in privacy aspects of organisational separation or carve-outs.
10. Deep understanding of GDPR and related regulations
11. Risk-Based Approach: Ability to apply pragmatic,mercially focused privacy advice.
12. Skilled at influencing and collaborating across technical and business teams.
13. Cloud and Agile Delivery: Experience working in fast-paced, project-driven environments and working with Google Cloud Platform environments or similar cloud platforms.
What you'll get in return
