Job Description
Our PMO Northwest team is expanding its Controls community. We seek passionate candidates across all professional, senior professional, and managerial levels who will support early careers, develop into leadership roles, and embody our values, especially Bringing out the best in Everyone.
With regional growth including new Major Programmes, Projects, and Clients, we are looking for flexible, mobile Planning, Scheduling, Performance Reporting, and Risk Management professionals to serve our local region. Travel within the Northwest is required and can be discussed during recruitment. You will have opportunities across sectors such as Power, Water, Rail, Defence, Nuclear, Local Authority, and Shipyards.
You will work within our Project Controls team on high-profile infrastructure projects, providing performance reporting and analysis. Responsibilities include collaborating with cost and planning engineers to develop work breakdown structures, establish progress and cost monitoring methods, produce control reports, and offer performance insights and recommendations.
Experience in a project controls environment within sectors like Energy, Defence, Rail, Airports, Highways, Water/Utilities is required, along with expertise in areas such as Programme Controls Management, Earned Value (EVM), Change & Risk Management, Planning, or PMO.
Qualifications
* A relevant degree with some experience in project control.
* Experience managing or controlling projects, programs, or portfolios.
* Proficiency with Primavera P6, Power BI, Microsoft Office.
* Ability to work independently and in teams.
* Strong time management, quick thinking, and meeting deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Knowledge of planning principles and schedule construction.
* Experience with schedule quality assurance tools like Primavera Schedlog, Acumen Fuse, or DCMA 14 Point Checklist.
* Skills in schedule monitoring, baseline management, progress data collection, performance measurement, and variance reporting.
* Ability to evaluate project status and promote a positive Schedule Management culture.
