We are a busy and growing pallet yard serving a wide range of commercial clients across the region. With a strong reputation for reliability and quality, we are now looking for an experienced Office Manager to join our team and oversee the smooth and efficient running of our office operations.
The Role:
As Office Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the business. This is a hands-on position requiring excellent organisational and leadership skills. You'll be responsible for overseeing admin and customer accounts, liaising with suppliers and customers and supporting the yard team to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all office functions, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day operations
* Cash handling and paying customers
* Handle invoicing, purchase orders and queries in a fast and efficient manner
* Maintain accurate stock records and ensure timely ordering of supplies
* Act as the first point of contact for customer and supplier queries
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and company procedures
* Support the Operations Manager with logistical coordination and scheduling
Requirements:
* Proven experience in an Office Manager or senior admin role (ideally in a logistics, manufacturing, or industrial setting) is essential
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Confident using Google Mail
* Excellent communication and people skills
* Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Knowledge of the pallet or logistics industry is desirable
* Right to work in the UK
