3 x Positions for Apprenticeship - Horticultural Operative - Level 2
Your role:
During the apprenticeship you will gain hands on experience and develop your skills in the craft and practice of horticulture on a large heritage estate. Part of your training involves attending a local college to reinforce practical skills and to expand your learning further. On completion you will receive a nationally recognised Level 2 Horticulture Operative Apprenticeship qualification.
About you:
You must be able to demonstrate the following essential requirements:
* A keen interest in gardening/horticulture/plants and being outdoors in all weather
* 4 GCSEs at grade D or above (Including Maths and English) or equivalent
* The ability to work accurately and to follow instructions
* The ability to use your own initiative and work flexibly as part of a team or on your own
* Commitment to developing the wide range of skills required to work on a busy estate
* The motivation to learn and study independently
About us:
An accredited apprenticeship is a great way to start your career in horticulture. You would be joining the Haigh Hall horticulture team at an exciting time as the gardens and estate are undergoing major renovation. This includes restoration of the walled gardens (kitchen and flower gardens), a new glasshouse as well as wider landscaping of the ornamental gardens.
