Job Summary
Full‑time (13.5 PA) substantive Congenital Cardiology Consultant, based at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust and working across site at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital (LHCH). The post will provide clinical leadership to a team of Interventional Congenital Cardiology consultants and will report to the Clinical Lead for Cardiology at Alder Hey and to the Clinical Lead for ACHD and the Cath Lab Director at LHCH.
About the Role
The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary team of 10 Consultant Paediatric Cardiologists and 4 Congenital Cardiac Surgeons. The role involves a 1 in 10 general paediatric cardiology on‑call rota, a 1 in 4 second on interventional rota and active participation in the interventional on‑call rota at Alder Hey. Clinical duties will include interventional congenital cardiac catheterisation (paediatric and ACHD) and care of patients on a cardiac PICU.
