ROLE: CAD/ Revit Engineer SALARY: Up to £45,000 DOE LOCATION: BirminghamTHE COMPANY:We are currently working with a leading building services business, based in Birmingham, who are looking to recruit an experienced CAD/Revit Engineer to join their team. This is a great opportunity to join a successful business, that was founded over 25 years ago and currently have a strong order book throughout 2025.BENEFITS:Competitive salary of up to £45,000 DOE. 23 days’ holiday + bank holidays + your birthday offBonus incentive schemePrivate medical insurance & life assurance (after 6 months)Company laptop & mobile phonePension scheme & career development opportunitiesMentorship & training support for professional growthDUTIES:Assist with the entire design process, whether from Stage 3 to Stage 5 (and beyond) or from inception to Stage 4c (or through construction, depending on project) through production of 2d and 3d design drawings and associated information (schedules and the like). Manage their own workload through close liaison with Project Managers and Project Engineers. With input/oversight from Project Managers and the Operations Director, balance timescales, client/contractor budgets, specification-requirements and buildability to develop compliant design solutions. Design (pipework/ductwork sizing, plant selections etc will be undertaken by others, however the candidate will be expected to produce drawing information from supplied technical information and mark-ups). Ensure that 2d and 3d drawings are produced to a high standard in accordance with supplied technical information at initial, construction and As Built stages of the project. Involvement in the production of handover documentation (O&M’s, As Fitted Drawings etc). THE CANDIDATE:Experience & Technical Skills: Minimum 3 years’ experience producing drawings for mechanical building services; must be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, with a reasonable understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and drainage systems.Work Management: Ability to manage workload and plan meetings independently (with admin support); proactive, self-motivated, and well-organised.Software Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are essential; willingness to learn additional tools like MEPWorx (Cymap) or Hevacomp is preferred.Requirements: Must have a full UK driving license (max 6 points) and the legal right to work in the UK.Immediate interviews are taking place, so please do not delay in applying, should you be interested.
