Due to continued growth, we are seeking a dedicated Occupational Health Adviser to join our team.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting and maintaining employee health and wellbeing through expert assessment, advice, and support.
This is a hybrid role, with approximately 50% remote working and 50% client site visits, offering a varied workload within a dynamic organisation. You will work autonomously while being fully supported by an experienced clinical and administrative team.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Advisory
* Conduct occupational health assessments and management referrals
* Provide clear, evidence-based fitness-for-work advice and workplace adjustment recommendations
* Support sickness absence management, including case management and return-to-work planning
* Prepare high-quality, timely clinical reports for management review
Health Promotion & Prevention
* Contribute to health promotion initiatives aimed at improving workforce wellbeing
* Analyse root causes of workplace health issues and support preventative strategies
Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
* Work collaboratively with line managers and external healthcare professionals
* Deliver first aid support when required during client site visits
Governance & Compliance
* Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, professional standards, and best practice
* Maintain accurate clinical records in line with data protection requirements
Essential Requirements
* Registered Nurse (NMC)
* Occupational Health qualification (Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience)
* Proven experience working as an Occupational Health Adviser
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
* Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work independently
Desirable
* Experience working in a hybrid Occupational Health service
* Health surveillance competencies
* First Aid qualification
* Experience across a range of industries
* Happy to travel to client sites as required
