Foundation Phase Teacher – Newport Area
Full-time and part-time roles available

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Newport area is looking for dedicated Foundation Phase Teachers to join its growing team. Whether you're seeking the stability of a long-term post or the flexibility of supply work, there are opportunities available to suit your preferences.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm (term-time only)
Availability: Full-time and part-time positions
Trial days available prior to summer holidays

The Role
As a Foundation Phase Teacher, you will work with children aged 3 to 7 in a setting that promotes creativity, exploration and child-led learning. The school offers a nurturing environment where all pupils are supported to thrive. Applications are welcome from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons
Support pupils’ individual development and learning
Build effective relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
Uphold school policies relating to behaviour, safeguarding and wellbeing
Complete planning and assessments for long-term roles where required
What We’re Looking For
QTS in the UK. Early Career Teachers encouraged to apply
Previous classroom experience or a keen interest in Foundation Phase teaching
A caring, confident approach to behaviour management
Enthusiastic, proactive attitude with a commitment to early years education
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (or willingness to register)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply — support available)
Access to a car is advantageous but not essential
