Could you be our new Education Service Manager?
Sense College is seeking a experienced manager to lead our team at Sense College ALDEBY, on a 1 year maternity contract from October 2024 for 37.5 hours per week. This is an exciting opportunity to further develop skills in the field of specialist education. We are looking for applicants that hold a relevant teaching qualification and have experience of working in the field of specialist education.
The successful candidate will effectively manage a team to deliver high quality services - that meet organisational and regulatory standards - for people attending our education and day opportunities provision. To be successful in this role you will have a sound knowledge of person centred planning, rota planning and budget management. You will need to demonstrate proven experience of supervising and line managing staff in accordance with policy and legislation. About the role
As Education Service Manager you will work with the Education Coordinator to effectively manage, plan and implement quality education, learning and care provision for learners with sensory loss/impairment and additional learning difficulties. the successful candidate will work with the Education Coordinator in demonstrating sound leadership skills to specialist staff in achieving high standards of education provision that fulfils organisational and Ofsted statutory guidance. You will support the centre staff in participating fully in the development of Sense College education, learning and care provision that meets the needs and requirements of learners and external funding authorities

Your required skills and experiences:
11. Relevant degree or higher level qualification
12. Level 5 or above teaching qualification or willingness to enrol for one within the first 12 months of being in post
13. At least 2 years’ experience in an educational management role
14. A minimum of 2 years working with learners with disabilities
15. Experience of curriculum planning and delivery for learners with S.E.N.D
16. A positive attitude towards learners with disabilities and an appreciation of this role’s responsibility in keeping learners safe
17. Knowledge and understanding of DfE Keeping Children Safe in Education requirements in an educational environment
