Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner within the Cheshire and Merseyside NHS Talking Therapies Workforce Development Hub.

The Workforce Development Hub is a remote based innovative service that provides workforce recruitment and retention solutions across the Cheshire and Merseyside NHS Talking Therapies services.

The post holder will provide clinical supervision to trainee/apprentice and qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners across ten Talking Therapies Services. On occasion, the successful applicant will be expected to attend specific team meetings in person.

The post-holder will work within Central Cheshire NHS Talking Therapies service holding a small caseload to provide, low intensity interventions which will be a range of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based guided self-help interventions to clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression.

The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.

We expect to complete shortlisting of candidates by 2nd March and the proposed interview date will be 12th March 2026


Main duties of the job

The post-holder will provide clinical skills supervision / clinical case management supervision to psychological wellbeing practitioners via the Workforce Development Hub service.

There will be opportunities to be involved with service development projects. Current projects include PWP Preceptorship, Apprenticeships development and Step 2 Meta-Supervision.

In addition to clinical supervision delivery, the post holder will work within the Central Cheshire NHS Talking Therapies to provide, low intensity interventions. This will be a range of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based guided self-help interventions to clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression.
