Join our Clean Rivers and Seas Task Force, delivering a £1.5 billion programme over the next 10 years. The Rivers and Seas Watch (RSW) service provides accurate and transparent data to inform customers and stakeholders, while reducing spills and reliance on overflows.
Responsibilities
* Work with the Senior Product Manager to translate strategic goals and roadmaps for the Rivers and Seas Watch service into actionable product backlog items (PBIs) and measure progress against defined business outcomes.
* Act as the voice of the customer; lead collaborative sessions with development (Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, Release planning) to ensure quality plans and outcomes aligned with the product strategy.
* Engage with other product teams and Digital to ensure IT/business strategy, policy and standards are adhered to for consistency and maintainability.
* Maintain a healthy, prioritised and valuable product backlog that can be implemented by the development team.
* Champion user-centred design by integrating feedback from diverse user groups including the public, environmental agencies, and internal stakeholders.
About You / Qualifications
* 3+ years’ experience in a similar product role.
* Experience writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.
* Ability to translate high-level strategic initiatives into feasible solutions with teams.
* Strong analytical skills: ability to collate, understand and present data meaningfully.
* Problem solving: ability to anticipate issues, understand problems, and propose solutions with stakeholder support.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and digital work management tools (e.g., Jira, Miro, Jira Product Discovery).
