Apprentice HR Advisor (Recruitment)Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire with National TravelWe are looking for to an appoint an Apprentice HR advisor who will support the careers of over 600 employees across our branch network of 14 UK sites. This HR Advisor will lead on the recruitment of our people, including overseeing the process for recruiting around 30 apprentices annually.The likely apprenticeship offered would be the Level 5 People Professional. We would consider supporting someone through the Level 3 or Level 7 options where one of these would be more appropriate.YouThis is an apprenticeship position suitable for someone looking to enter or progress their career in human resources. Because you will be leading on the recruitment process, we are looking for someone who has a background where conducting recruitment and selection activities has been a key part of their current or previous role.You will lead by example, with a strong commitment to your own personal continuous professional development.Key Responsibilities:Recruitment and Selection: to carry out recruitment and selection processes for a range of roles.Employer Brand: to develop the brand of Bagnalls as an employer of choiceEarly Careers: to manage the annual recruitment process for our apprenticeship programme and for Management TraineesInduction and Onboarding: to support branches to ensure new starters have a positive start with the business with all necessary initial training undertakenHR: to carry out a range of generalist HR tasks including dealing with disciplinaries, grievance and performance management at named branchesLearning and Development: to support the development and delivery of training packages, particularly those relating to recruitment, onboarding and employee supportEmployee Engagement: to support the People Team and branches in engaging employees across the group.Policies and Procedures: to support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.Person SpecificationEssential Criteria:Experience of recruiting, including designing and placing advertsExperience of selection including interviewingA commitment to developing a career within recruitment and HRExcellent written and verbal communication skillsInter-personal skills, including the ability to empathise and deliver challenging messagesStrong IT skills including Microsoft ExcelAbility to show initiative and to work independently, including prioritising own workloadCapability and willingness to undertake CIPD qualificationsCommitment to travel nationally including staying away from home periodicallyFull driving licenceDesirable Criteria:CIPD Level 3 qualificationExperience of managing high volume recruitment in an agency or in-house recruitment roleExperience of managing performance of othersBenefitsThe exact package will be dependent on skills and experience.
Basic salary will be in the region of £25,000-£33,000, with discretionary bonus, fully expensed company car, life assurance, up to 8% contributory company pension scheme and family health insurance following minimum length of service.
