Housing Litigation Solicitor – Birmingham

Our client is seeking a talented Housing Litigation Solicitor, Associate, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive to join our thriving Birmingham office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious legal professional to handle high-quality work, develop advocacy skills and make a genuine impact in the housing and social housing sectors.
About the Opportunity:
You’ll work with a diverse range of clients including housing associations, local authorities, charitable landlords and co-operatives across England. Your role will involve managing a stimulating caseload while contributing to meaningful outcomes for communities.
Key responsibilities include:
* Defending housing disrepair claims and mentoring junior colleagues
* Securing and opposing anti-social behaviour injunctions
* Handling possession proceedings, Equality Act defences and mental capacity issues
* Advising on leasehold and shared ownership disputes
* Providing policy reviews, housing management guidance and legislative updates
* Prosecuting matters under the Environmental Protection Act
About the Team:
You’ll be based in Birmingham within a collaborative unit, working closely with colleagues in the wider Housing Litigation group spanning Manchester and Birmingham. The culture is friendly, inclusive and focused on professional excellence.
About You:
* Strong experience in housing law or residential leasehold litigation
* Confident advocacy skills and enthusiasm for representing clients in hearings
* A team-focused approach with leadership and delegation experience
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
* Clear, practical communication and commercially focused advice delivery
