Job Overview
We have a fantastic opportunity based at our Gatwick site to join our Purina Sales team as Senior National Account Manager. As Senior National Account Manager, you will oversee the full P&L of customer/category/format, including sales revenue, trade spend, promotional ROI, market share and profit targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and lead the negotiation of the annual Customer Business Plans to deliver against internal and external strategies & KPI
* Analyse data sets (EPOS, Nielsen, CIM, SRM) to build commercial plans which optimise KPI delivery
* Execute Customer Plans accurately, providing excellent communication to customers and completing all required documentation
* Lead Customer Contact Strategy and build powerful relationships cross‑functionally at appropriate levels
* Accountable for indirect leadership of Category and Marketing teams to facilitate best‑in‑class category strategies & activation
* Work with category team to ensure successful delivery of strategic NPD in agreed distribution
* Deploy customer, shopper and category insight to identify optimum portfolio mix and lead cross‑functional teams to deliver portfolio range
* Own and develop promotional plans, including revenue, trade spend, promotion activation details, timing and mechanics
* Participate and provide input into all relevant internal planning processes (weekly, monthly, quarterly) and MBP
* Support and coordinate National Account Managers in the business unit
Qualifications & Experience
* 5+ years of customer leadership and P&L management experience
* Demonstrated agile thinking and inspirational leadership
* Category management knowledge
* Previous management of a large trade spend budget
* Negotiating skills and experience managing complexity and ambiguity
* Strong analytical skills and initiative in overcoming obstacles
* Ability to manage and lead structured negotiations
* Results focused and highly driven
* Experience or passion for pet care (preferred)
* Flexibility to travel to retailer stores throughout the UK as required
