Purpose of the role
Carrying out administration duties relating to the day to day operations, health & safety and quality, within the LGV Workshop. Ensuring all statutory paperwork is completed in a timely manner, in line with the company’s O Licence undertakings, whilst observing the guidelines as stated in DVSA’s guide to maintaining roadworthiness, and vehicle manufacturer manuals. Ensuring all relevant fleet compliance is adhered to.
Key Accountabilities
* Assist with health and safety within the workshop (including PPE control, COSHH, risk assessments, legionella control), including contractor control, by maintaining the contractor database (Avetta, inductions, task authorisations, permits to work).
* Raising requisitions and orders within SAP and Ariba.
* Dealing with external suppliers and processing invoices for goods/services received.
* Maintaining all relevant statutory documentation.
* Assisting the Workshop Manager/Coordinator in maintaining IMS documentation.
* Re-ordering spare parts as used from stock.
* Liaising with Weighbridge Technicians regarding vehicle requirements.
* Carrying out administration duties for processing information within management systems.
* Scheduling training and maintaining records for workshop personnel.
* Managing Vehicle Exercise licences, Operator Licences, insurance, and MOTs for allocated sites.
* Coordinating & monitoring accident management for Hanson LGVs.
* Managing driver prosecutions process for Hanson LGVs.
* Monitoring & tracking fleet fuel usage, maintaining stock levels & re-ordering as needed.
* Providing reports and performing other ad hoc duties to ensure smooth distribution operations.
