Overview
Personal Assistant(s) Required – Penarth. I am seeking kind, reliable, and patient Personal Assistant(s) to support me in my home and, when possible, out in the community.
Hours and Pay
Hours: 7 hours per week. Support required daily, Monday to Sunday. I am happy to consider more than one PA to cover these hours. You will be required to provide cover for other PAs during holidays or sickness. Rate of Pay: £14.35 per hour.
Responsibilities
* Personal care and hygiene support
* Applying prescribed creams
* Cleaning the commode
* Meal and drink support
* Social stimulation and companionship (at home and possibly in the community)
* Emotional support when I am struggling
* Assistance with putting shopping deliveries away
* Light domestic duties (laundry management, cleaning, putting bins out)
* Any other practical tasks as time allows
* Ensuring my safety at all times
Person Specification
* Experienced in, or knowledgeable about, my medical conditions
* Sensitive, patient, and understanding
* Clear, well-spoken, and a good listener
* Gentle, calm, and sympathetic
* Comfortable working in a home with a dog
* Female applicants only, due to the personal care requirements of the role
About the job
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.
The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check – which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK.
