Manager - Audit, Accounting & Advisory
Our client is a well-established chartered accountancy, business advisory, and financial planning firm with offices in Blackburn and Bury. Renowned across the North West, the firm delivers integrated services – including audit, accounts, corporate finance, cloud accounting, tax, payroll, and financial planning – enabling teams to work collaboratively and provide seamless, joined‑up advice to clients.
What you will be doing
* Manage and deliver audit and accounts assignments from planning to completion
* Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with FRS 102 and FRS 102‑1A
* Provide technical accounting support to clients and the team
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high-quality service
* Supervise, mentor, and support the development of junior staff members
* Contribute to process improvements, quality assurance, and operational efficiency
* Oversee budgets, client invoicing, and fee collection
* Collaborate with directors and partners to achieve departmental and firm objectives
What we're looking for
* Extensive experience within accountancy practice (audit or mixed audit/accounts)
* Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients and supervising teams
* Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial awareness
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ambitious and motivated to progress further within audit and advisory practice
* ACA / ACCA qualified
