Teaching Assistant
Location: Leicestershire (LE12)
Pay: £100 - £110 per day
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term to permanent
About the Role
We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in the LE12 area. The school supports pupils aged 6-17 with social, emotional and mental health needs, often alongside Autism or additional learning needs.
Classes are small with high staff ratios, and pupils follow a personalised curriculum including academic lessons, outdoor learning, life skills and therapeutic activities.
What You'll Be Doing
Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
Help students with emotional regulation, confidence and behaviour
Assist with learning activities across academic, creative and outdoor subjects
Support daily routines and create a positive learning environment
Work closely with teachers and support staff to meet pupils' individual needs
Requirements
Experience with SEN, SEMH, Autism, youth work or sports coaching is desirable
Calm, patient and confident approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to build positive, trusting relationships
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
