Key Responsibilities
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your day-to-day will include:
* Providing personalised support to students in one-on-one and small group settings.
* Collaborating closely with teachers to modify and tailor lesson materials.
* Encouraging and modeling positive behaviour and emotional resilience.
* Supporting students in developing independence and real-world life skills.
* Participating in enrichment activities that support holistic development.
* Promoting a respectful, inclusive classroom culture where all students feel seen and supported.
What We're Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* At least 6-12 months' experience working in UK Schools, ideally within SEN settings.
* A solid understanding of common SEN needs, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
* A calm, empathetic, and confident approach to building strong student relationships.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
* A current Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
