Job Title: Secondary SEN Tutor
Location:
South East England, Berkshire, Wokingham
Salary:
£20 - £30 Per hour
Job Duties:
* Provide tailored academic support to secondary school students with special educational needs (SEN)
* Create individualised lesson plans to address specific learning requirements
* Assist students in developing study skills and strategies to improve academic performance
* Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods accordingly
* Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure effective support for students with SEN
Required Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience working with students with special educational needs
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in SEN education
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of SEN legislation and best practises in SEN education
* Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning environments
* Strong problem-solving skills and patience
Preferred Qualifications:
* Additional qualifications in Special Education Needs (SEN)
* Experience with individual education plans (IEPs)
* Training in behaviour management techniques
Working Conditions:
This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, providing support to secondary school students with SEN in a school setting. The tutor may need to travel to different schools in the Wokingham area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
