Offer description

Love digging into the details? Turn insights into impact as our next Portfolio Performance Manager.

At Perch Group, our vision is clear: to lead the UK debt purchase and collection industry by harnessing cutting-edge technology to drive ethical, efficient, and data-driven debt resolution.

Our annual mission is to empower hundreds of thousands of customers to positively engage with and resolve their outstanding debts. We do this through an empathetic and customer-centric approach that is at the heart of our success.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for a highly organised, commercially minded and analytical individual with experience in audit, process management, governance or risk roles, and a strong ability to conduct root cause analysis. You'll have a keen eye for detail and be confident reviewing and challenging complex onboarding and collections processes, ensuring performance is optimised from both a granular and macro perspective.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can engage with stakeholders at all levels, identify early warning signs, and work cross-functionally to drive improvements. You'll thrive in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment and be motivated by the opportunity to make a real impact while growing within an ambitious, rapidly expanding business.

So, what will your day-to-day look like?

"First 90 Days Post Acquisition" - Oversight of onboarding processes & strategies from a performance perspective.

* [40%] Monitor and audit a wide range of processes in Perch Capital's onboarding journey and strategies, both in aggregate across all portfolios acquired each month, combined with the ability to dive down to an account level if required, to identify any inefficiencies in the process, drive maximum value and opportunities for cost optimisation. KPI's and processes to be monitored and measured against both Operational SLA's & underwriting targets for the first 90 days post-acquisition, from the point of assignment.
* [10%] Conduct post purchase review sessions at key milestones (Day30, 60, 90) – providing an update on performance + pre-emptively flagging any warning signs ahead of time, SLA adherence, insights into emerging trends or gaps in the process, with a feedback loop to the wider business (Investment team, Implementation, Ops) on findings, root cause and suggestions for improvement
* [10%] Manage the handover process from the pre-purchase Investment & Transaction team at the point-of-sale incl. tracking any post purchase actions with support from the Transaction Manager

"Next 90 Days" - Broader Back book Performance Management

* [20%] Analysis of back book performance, and regular audit of operational and collections efficiencies. Working with Decision Science, Finance and Analytics to identify and target any emerging trends of divergence vs underwriting and/or ERC assumptions, followed by granular deep dives into Perch processes to establish if root cause is driven by any operational or system failure or inefficiency. Support the wider business to identify opportunities for further A/B testing and/or focal points for potential next best actions to maximise value, with follow up audits to review and trouble shoot.
* [10%] 'Hand hold' and deep dive into key strategic Client and/or Portfolio performance (continuation from the first 90 days)
* [10%] Process & Operational readiness to achieve targets (both recoveries & timings) for future expected placements of accounts to other entities within the Perch Group family, including Perch Verify (the Group's in-house field connect service) and TMLS (the Group's in-house law firm), at a portfolio & group level, against both underwriting and ERC.

*[Square brackets] intended to give approximate indication as to time allocation for a typical week and may vary on a day-to-day basis.

Does this sound like you?

* Strong academic background within a quantitative discipline, e.g. STEM fields(s), Economics, Finance.
* 2+ years' experience in audit, analysis, governance, or risk management within financial services.
* Proven ability to manage multiple high value workstreams in parallel, delivering to tight deadlines.
* Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to consolidate and interpret complex information from multiple source.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to understand and analyse large data sets to identify errors or gaps in a process.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge and escalate where appropriate.
* Knowledge of UK consumer credit, FCA regulations, and debt purchasing market dynamics desirable.
