The Role We are looking for a skilled Legal Counsel (2–5 years PQE) to provide practical legal support across commercial, corporate, technology, and operational matters. This hands-on role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to contribute to the Group’s governance and legal framework. Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, technology/SaaS contracts, service agreements, and NDAs. Support IT and Procurement teams on software procurement and digital projects. Assist with corporate governance, company secretarial duties, and corporate transactions. Provide pragmatic legal advice to operational teams across Finance, Education, and Operations. Support regulatory compliance and contribute to legal risk management, templates, and playbooks. Collaborate with senior stakeholders and the Group Legal team on cross-functional and cross-border matters. Experience & Skills Essential: Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales. 2–5 years PQE in commercial, corporate, or technology law (private practice or in-house). Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills. Excellent communication, organisational skills, and commercial awareness. Desirable: In-house experience in a regulated environment. Exposure to education, care, or multi-site organisations. Experience in IP, IT/software procurement, digital transformation, or corporate governance.
