Role Overview: IT Support Technician
The IT Support Technician at Maersk is a confident, self-driven, and organized professional with solid IT knowledge and extensive experience in resolving IT-related issues. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience, preferably within large, global organizations, including remote support and virtual team interactions. This full-time position is based at our Doncaster site.
Key Responsibilities
* Support onsite infrastructure components, including end-user computing and data center equipment.
* Provide high-quality service and maintain excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Prioritize and plan daily tasks collaboratively with the team.
* Support users across various environments, including industrial warehouses and traditional offices.
* Deliver friendly and robust service to end users at all levels, both written and spoken.
Technical Skills Required
* Advanced desktop usage, VPN & Citrix, mobile devices, Windows 10/11.
* PC setup, BIOS configuration, Microsoft OS, connectivity (LAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth).
* Proficiency with end-user devices, peripherals, and Microsoft Office 365 suite.
* Basic mobile device setup (iOS, Android).
* Understanding of IT infrastructure, basic server, and network troubleshooting.
* Knowledge of file and print services, Active Directory, and ITSM tools like ServiceNow.
* Awareness of change and risk management processes.
* Experience with supporting scan guns and label printers.
* Collaborate with third-party vendors for hardware issues.
* Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Teams Rooms, video conferencing, IP softphones, and Teams Live Events.
* ITIL V3 Foundation Certification.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with Teams Video Conferencing, LAN/WLAN/Wi-Fi, Apple Mac support, and warehouse IT support.
Organizational and Personal Skills
* Deep understanding of organizational processes and business requirements.
* High sense of urgency, professional communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
* Effective time management, independence, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience managing end-to-end issue resolution and supporting diverse teams.
* Presentation skills for training and small group sessions.
