Stirling Dynamics is recruiting a Key Account Manager to join the team.
With annual revenue in excess of £10m and ambitious plans for growth, Stirling Dynamics is looking to recruit a Key Account Manager with experience in the aerospace sector to support the Aerospace Business Unit account management and business development activities in both our established markets worldwide. The successful candidate will ideally have demonstrable account management and business development skills with a positive and proactive approach to business development; they will need to be able to identify client needs in advance of the formal tendering process, develop sales campaigns, and support the construction of compelling proposals.
Applicants must have a strong client relationship and business development mind-set. It will be advantageous for the successful candidate to have existing knowledge of the aerospace market to support Stirling Dynamics’ rapidly growing business.
Stirling Dynamics has a geographically diverse customer base and as such the candidate will be required to travel nationally and internationally. Along with a hybrid working method, based out of offices in Bristol, multiple domestic and overseas trips are expected per year to visit customers and to represent Stirling at events and exhibitions.
Responsibilities
The below is a list of responsibilities that the role entails. We will provide full support to the successful candidate to develop their skills should some of the below be new to you or you feel you need further development.
1. Developing and driving the existing client account’s strategic plan showing commitment to growth, profitability and client satisfaction
2. Identifying and developing opportunities for Stirling Dynamics’ services within the accounts and driving new opportunities to closure
3. Influencing and networking with current and prospective clients to build relationships at all levels, and to identify business needs to address
4. Working as part of a wider team, supporting Business Unit initiatives and strategic plans
5. Identifying new ways to engage with the client and proposing innovative solutions
6. Leading sales activity in the account and working with senior members of the delivery organisation to ensure successful projects and to secure new and repeat business
7. Meeting requirements for client engagement, CRM data entry and quality, activity reporting
8. Support the solution creation and proposal writing
Skills
9. Relevant business and/or engineering qualifications
10. Knowledge of the international aerospace market (civil and defence) covering customers/competitors, market segment values, new platform developments, technology providers
11. Highly personable with strong relationship building skills
12. Exceptional interpersonal, communication and team working skills

13. Skills and experience in creating proposals and sales presentations.
14. Skills in MS Office products.
15. Independent, self-motivated and flexible with a can-do attitude.

Benefits
Competitive package. The role can cover grades 3-6 and therefore has a wide salary range (£30,000 - £55,000) as it will depend on the candidate's experience level.
