Responsibilities of the Import Coordinator include:
· Submitting customs entries efficiently and accurately.
· Review, and maintain import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, phytosanitary and POAO certificates, whilst ensuring all documents are accurate and fully compliant with HMRC.
· Manage both personal and shared mailbox, tracking and responding to queries in a timely manner.
· Communicate clearly with multiple Government authorities.
· Track shipments and update customers and hauliers on progress.
· Be a point of contact for customer queries and status updates.
· Keeping various trackers accurate and up to date.
· Liaise with hauliers, customs agents, suppliers, and internal team to resolve delays or compliance issues.
Requirements
· Proven experience working within imports and using CDS customs software. Experience using ASM will be an advantage, but not necessary.
· A good knowledge of customs procedures, Incoterms, tariff classifications, and trade compliance.
· Must be well organised, proactive and able to prioritise their workload.
· Strong and proven co-ordination skills. Must be able to co-ordinate multiple tasks and shipments throughout the day, within a fast-paced environment.
· Experience using IPAFFS is an advantage, but not necessary.
· You would have experience with customs declarations / within a imports department ( at least 1 year’s experience)
