Location Brighton Apply now Description Purpose of the role: Working within a busy Distance Selling Pharmacy, and taking personal accountability for the dispensing of prescriptions in order to meet the highest quality standards and patient care. Principal Accountabilities Dispense prescriptions across a range of order types, including regular NHS cycle prescriptions, named patient orders, TTOs, controlled drugs and Clozapine programmes under the supervision of Pharmacists and Team Leaders To dispense medicines, sundries and devices on a variety of legal requisitions and prescriptions in accordance with departmental guidelines and with appropriate use of systems To ensure that adequate levels of consumable items used in the course of dispensing are available and to top-up these items as necessary, working within a clutter free environment Ensure goods are stored under the appropriate conditions, stocks are rotated and to perform regular date checking of stock. To respond professionally and appropriately to incoming telephone calls, emails and visitors to the business Support the Team Leader in ensuring the Pharmacy operates ethically and in line with company Standard Operating Procedures and meeting regulatory standards Undertake designated tasks within the Pharmacy and neighbouring functions within the Operations team, upon receipt of the required instruction or training Follow our company Standard Operating Procedures and observing the GPhC principals and standards, and ensuring effective use of systems and technology Adhere to our company and external Health & Safety Standards; including taking reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of colleagues, cooperating with management and following instructions, completing the provided training, and prompt reporting of any hazards, illnesses or injuries. Essential Education, Experience And Skills Education NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent). Experience Minimum one year of experience within a dispensing role. Skills Fluent in the English language Excellent attention to detail and accuracy checking capabilities An ability to learn and adapt quickly Calm under pressure Strong time management and organisation skills.
