People Solutions are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Weekend Drivers to join our well-established client based in Garretts Green, Birmingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a reputable logistics operation.
This position is ideal for applicants seeking a role as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, or Articulated Lorry Driver.
Shifts:
* Saturday – Days – Early starts
* Sunday – Days – Early starts
* Sunday – Nights – Late starts
Rates of Pay:
* Saturday: £18.50 per hour
* Sunday: £20.50 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Depot-to-depot trunking routes and trailer swaps
* Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
* Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly
* Adhering to traffic laws, company procedures, and delivery schedules
Essential Skills:
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
* A valid UK Category CE (Class 1) driving licence
* A minimum of one year's Category CE driving experience
* No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major offences
* A valid UK CPC card and Digital Tachograph xxuwjjq Card
* Good spoken and written English
Desirable Experience:
* Previous commercial driving experience
Training:
* Driver assessment required prior to starting
* Industry-related training and ongoing support
