Roles and Responsibilities
* Acts as the primary point of contact for all matters related to Client’s legacy systems during the TSB integration.
* Coordinates cross-functional teams to map, analyze, and migrate legacy functionalities to the new environment.
* Identifies critical dependencies, risks, and migration challenges specific to legacy platforms.
* Ensures compliance with regulatory and security requirements during data and process migration.
* Legacy Systems Functional Analyst
* Documents and catalogs all legacy system functionalities relevant for TSB integration.
* Translates legacy business logic into integration requirements for IT and business stakeholders.
* Performs gap analysis to identify any missing or incompatible features between Client and TSB systems.
* Provides subject matter expertise for troubleshooting and validating migrated functionalities.
* Leads the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from Client’s legacy systems into TSB’s target platforms.
* Defines and implements data quality standards and validation checks during migration.
* Works closely with business and technical teams to resolve data mapping and reconciliation issues.
* Creates and maintains comprehensive migration documentation and data lineage records.
* Legacy Systems Risk & Compliance Advisor
* Assesses compliance and regulatory risks associated with legacy systems during integration.
* Ensures that all migrated functionalities and data comply with local and international banking regulations.
* Advises on the decommissioning of legacy components in a controlled and auditable manner.
* Legacy Systems Training & Support Coordinator
* Develops training materials for TSB users on legacy functionalities being retained or transformed.
* Coordinates knowledge transfer between Client legacy experts and TSB integration teams.
* Provides ongoing support post-integration to address issues related to legacy capabilities.
Role expectation as part of TSB Integration Initiative
* Early Engagement of Legacy Experts:
* Involve Client legacy system experts at the earliest stages of the integration to ensure accurate requirements gathering and risk identification.
* Request full documentation of legacy system processes, data schemas, and business rules to support mapping and migration activities.
* Secure dedicated resources with deep legacy system expertise to lead and execute migration tasks, minimizing business disruption.
* Robust Testing and Validation:
* Establish rigorous testing protocols to verify that migrated functionalities operate as intended, with legacy experts validating critical business processes.
* Set up structured communication forums for continuous feedback between legacy system teams and TSB integration stakeholders.
* Implement targeted change management initiatives to address impacts on business users resulting from legacy system transitions.
* Develop risk mitigation strategies for dependency on legacy technologies, including fallback procedures and contingency plans
