We’re looking for reliable, skilled drivers to help deliver and collect trade waste and recycling bins across beautiful East Dorset. You’ll be at the heart of our mission to keep our streets clean and protect the environment, driving a Luton van and using handheld tech to stay on top of your routes and reporting. Our waste and recycling crews are the first line of defence against rubbish piling up. If collections stopped for just a week, four thousand tonnes of waste would be left on Dorset’s streets. It’s tough at times and can be a bit messy, but it’s also work that matters, you’ll stay fit, enjoy the fresh air and finish each day knowing you’ve done something good for the community. This role is perfect if you’ve got solid driving experience, enjoy being outdoors, and take pride in doing a job properly. You’ll be out on the road each day, meeting customers, solving problems, and making sure bins are delivered and collected on time. What you’ll be doing driving a Luton van around Dorset, safely delivering and picking up trade waste and recycling bins using handheld devices to log collections, deliveries and any issues handling bins with care so they stay clean and in good nick chatting to customers and sorting out any concerns on the spot keeping your vehicle tidy, well-maintained and road-ready following traffic laws, health and safety rules and Dorset Council guidelines working closely with the waste team to keep everything running smoothly About you You’ll need a full UK driving licence with a clean record and experience driving a Luton van or similar. It helps if you’ve done multi-drop or waste work before, and you’ll be comfortable using handheld tech. We’re after someone who can work on their own and as part of a team, with good people skills and the ability to manage a busy workload. Knowledge of health and safety in waste or driving would be a bonus.
