Job Purpose

The ACCS department specialises in the design, manufacturing and installation of aisle containment and caging in data centres. We are seeking a 3D Modeller and CAD/CAM Engineer to join our team. This role will learn all aspects of engineering, increase product knowledge, and assist the Engineering Manager in completing tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Produce CAD drawings according to client specifications.
* Produce production drawings using CAM software.
* Carry out detailed site surveys in data centres, including taking accurate measurements of data halls for cage, CAC and HAC layouts.
* Translate site survey data and measurements into precise CAD drawings and production information.
* Working with a design engineer and individually on the design and development of new products.
* Products and processes – continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process
* Interdepartmental support and communication
* Work independently and provide engineering solutions
* Creating production drawings using CAD software.
* Maintain business and client confidentiality, adhering to applicable Data Protection regulations and Information Security Standards in line with company and group policies and procedures.
* Represent the business, upholding our core values and behaviours with all internal and external customers, clients and third parties.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Familiar with Microsoft Office
* Strong AutoCAD skills, with the ability to produce accurate 2D layout and fabrication drawings
* Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and/or Radan is a bonus.
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
* Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different tasks
* Ability to read engineering drawings
* Good understanding of engineering principles
