We are seeking a Time Served Mechanical Technician to join our team at the Glen Ord site – North Engineering Centre.
Salary of £58,470.01 + competitive benefits including pension, shares scheme, and bonus!

About the role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, Mechanical Technicians are responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving mechanical assets at malt distilling sites. They ensure efficient maintenance, adhere to health and safety policies, and collaborate with operations, CAPEX projects, and other maintenance teams to optimize asset performance. They also participate in root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Attending asset care, CAPEX, and review meetings with Maintenance Managers, providing technical insights.
* Performing maintenance activities as per the weekly/daily asset care plan.
* Updating Maintenance Systems accurately and regularly.
* Reporting maintenance outcomes via SAP MMS to share best practices.
This role follows a standard week but includes an on-call rota, requiring some weekend and evening work.
About You
You should have a positive attitude, be decisive under pressure, and be able to build positive relationships internally and externally.
Requirements:
* HNC qualification in engineering or equivalent.
* Hands-on maintenance/engineering experience as a time-served engineer.
* Strong communication skills across all levels.
* Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
* Full UK driving license suitable for company vehicles.
