Responsibilities The Primary Classroom Teacher's core duties involve responsibility for supervision and the progress of children in allocated classes, which includes striving to deliver outstanding and interactive lessons and ensuring differentiation and personalisation of learning for all children. The role requires applying current guidelines on effective learning and teaching, developing and implementing a scheme of work, and providing good quality assessment using formative and summative methods. Teachers must also evaluate lessons and their teaching strategies to reflect and act on strengths and areas for development, track children's progress against their targets, and promote the consistent and fair use of the behaviour policy within the Academy environment. Qualifications The essential qualifications for this role are Qualified Teacher Status and a relevant degree. The successful candidate must have experience or training within the primary phase and experience of planning, assessment, and teaching of the National Curriculum. It is also essential to have experience in the use of positive behaviour strategies. The role requires good personal ICT skills and an understanding of Assessment for Learning.
