Job title: Robotics Engineer

Location: Bedfordshire – Onsite

Salary: £40,000 DOE


Job Overview:


We are seeking a skilled ABB Robotics Engineer to design, program, and support ABB robotic systems across various industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with ABB Robot Studio, IRC5 controllers, and a solid foundation in automation and control systems. This role involves installation, programming, troubleshooting, and optimisation of robotic systems to meet performance and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Design and develop robotic automation solutions using ABB robots (primarily IRC5 controlled).
2. Program and simulate ABB robotic systems using Robot Studio.
3. Conduct on-site commissioning, testing, and support of robotic cells.
4. Integrate robots with PLCs, vision systems, sensors, and other automation equipment.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues in robotic systems.
6. Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineering teams for system integration.
7. Develop and maintain technical documentation
8. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
9. Provide technical training and support to clients or operators as needed.
