Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Car Parking Clerical Officer to join our team and play a crucial role in delivering exceptional services across our two main hospitals. As a key player in ensuring the highest standards of service are provided to our patients, visitors and staff, you will support the Carparking Supervisor and Security Assurance Manager in resources and daily operations within our Resilience Team. You will keep the staff parking system fully up to date, update the car parking database as changes occur, support the Security Car Parking Management team, and help sustain the smooth operation of security and parking on our sites.
Detailed Responsibilities
* Maintain a professional approach at all times in line with the Trust values.
* Uphold the Trust’s values and behaviours and maintain staff and public confidence.
* Maintain professional and courteous working relationships with staff and respect the equality, diversity and privacy of all individuals.
* Liaise with all levels of staff in a professional and respectful manner to assist the operational team in maintaining client flow and meeting relevant targets.
* Motivate and support staff so that they understand the objectives of the service and can maximise their contributions to the highest standards.
* Monitor team performance through activity reports, updates and meetings.
* Facilitate communication within the team regarding changes to admin systems and processes and with key internal and external stakeholders.
* Assist with reports to ensure archived records, both paper and electronic, are reviewed and confidentially destroyed at the appropriate time.
* Assist with the management of training documentation and update records to keep data relevant and up to date.
* Provide reports as required on an ad-hoc and monthly basis.
* Participate in and undertake audits as required by the Line Manager.
* Ensure all communications reflect a positive, caring and helpful image of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Trusts.
* Undertake training as appropriate in line with the role and its associated developments.
* Process and manage complaints in relation to car parking, including PCNs.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Education
* Essential: Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
* Desirable: Educated to English Language and Maths GCSE level or equivalent.
Knowledge and Experience
* Essential:
o Administrative experience.
o Experience working in a changing environment.
o Computer literate, experienced in data entry and use of e‑mail.
o Understanding of Information Governance, Data Quality and its requirements.
* Desirable:
o Experience in the use of electronic PAS.
o Experience in Customer Care.
o Confidentiality Awareness.
o Knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications.
