We’re looking for an experienced client/account manager who has a proven track record for delivering success to clients with an emphasis on retention and upselling. We promote a culture of work-life balance where we encourage staff not to work late, take time back in lieu if needed, and participate in a 9-day fortnight work pattern (every other Friday off, paid).
Responsibilities of the role include:
1. Building client relationships: You must be obsessed with your clients and understand their businesses thoroughly, including financial calendars, IPO preparations, acquisitions, internal org structures, and even personal details like birthdays and work anniversaries.
2. Understanding success metrics: Know what success looks like for your clients and communicate this effectively to your SEO strategist to deliver results that aid in retention and upselling.
3. Leading delivery teams: Coordinate all delivery teams to ensure alignment with client needs, galvanizing them to meet expectations, even if you do not manage them directly.
4. Managing commercials: Keep track of renewal dates, create campaigns for renewal, and work with your SEO strategist on upsell opportunities through performance reports and growth projections.
5. Project management: Prioritize workloads based on client value, manage expectations, and ensure projects stay within scope.
6. Leading direct reports: Manage 1-2 client executives, ensuring they deliver quality work, are motivated, and understand their roles. Foster a positive environment with professional development plans and wellbeing considerations.
7. Understanding company structure: Collaborate within a triad of stakeholders—client/account manager, project manager, SEO strategist—to maintain performance and client satisfaction.
