Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Millie's Day Nursery in Borehamwood. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the development and well-being of children in our care. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in fostering positive relationships with both children and their families, ensuring that each child receives the best possible start in life.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, ensuring each child's individual needs are met.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors.
* Observe and assess children's progress, keeping accurate records to support their development.
* Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on their child's progress and well-being.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive team atmosphere, demonstrating strong leadership and management skills when required.
* Ensure compliance with all safeguarding policies and procedures to protect the welfare of children in our care.
Experience
* Proven experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
* A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
* Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
