Seafast Group have been providing market-leading, end-to-end logistics solutions for Customers, including well-known global brands, focusing on our core areas of Refrigerated Cargo, Remote Locations & Humanitarian Relief.
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to assist the development of Seafast Group Reefer Sales activities through direct collaboration with the Commercial & Operations teams, Clients & Suppliers.
Key Duties:
* Identifying and securing new potential business for Seafast in line with the 5 Year Business Plan
* Develop strategic presence with Carriers and Suppliers in conjunction with the Commercial Director
* Develop strategy to drive the Reefer sales effort for Seafast Group, focusing on our USP’s which include, UK landside, Customs, Port Health, Cold Storage Warehousing and inland distribution, plus the wider GB Global Group associated service package
* Securing the optimal suppliers service and pricing frameworks required to secure new business
* Management of Reefer sector specific global agents network, identifying new agent opportunities, and identifying & securing new reverse sales freight opportunities
* Producing budgets and managing P&L centre for the Reefer sector
* Strategic analysis & development of both existing and potential new markets that fit into the Seafast business model
* External Sales calls targeting new, existing, and potential clients that encapsulate both Seafast and wider GB Global Group business models in relation to Reefer
* Manage, via system-based delivery, existing client rate agreements, to ensure that rate renewals are completed by the relevant team member in good time ahead of rate expiry
* Manage & support the Operations department with the ongoing implementation and maintenance of the auto-rating function within CRM
* Support, develop and maintain internal Commercial reporting suite (PowerBi)
* Support, develop & maintain Seafast’s Sustainability Profile in conjunction with the Operations team
Skills & Experience:
* Minimum of 3 years in industry specific experience, specialising in refrigerated transportation and logistics
* Full clean driving licence
* Strong working knowledge of temperature-controlled supply chain logistics
* Sales and negotiation skills at director level
* High level of verbal and written communication skills
* Solution provider sales focused
