Responsibilities
* Develop and execute inbound logistics plans to meet the needs of the business.
* Communicate with suppliers to coordinate delivery schedules and ensure on-time delivery.
* Analyse delivery performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Manage supplier relationships and resolve delivery-related issues.
* Work closely with the buying and warehouse teams to ensure seamless integration of the inbound process.
* Build knowledge and understanding of the import / export requirements of the role.
* Participate in the continuous improvement of inbound logistics processes and procedures.
* Provide timely and accurate reporting on inbound deliveries and performance metrics.
* Drive and problem solve daily tasks that contribute to successful customs warehousing.
Qualifications
* Good knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks.
* Capable of working autonomously, solving day to day issues independently.
* Ability to understand how the team integrates and collaborates with other teams to achieve overall objectives of the department.
* Understands procedures and can evaluate and select appropriate options; plans and monitors own work within deadlines. Produces routine reports and other documents from standard templates.
* Understanding, ideally a working knowledge of import/export custom declarations.
* Attention to detail with a positive, can-do approach.
* Strong working knowledge of business systems and Microsoft Office applications.
* Good verbal and written communication with colleagues and/or customers.
* Level 3, A level or equivalent work experience.
