Maintenance Engineer (Days Based) – Nestlé Waters & Premium Beverages
Location: Buxton, Derbyshire
Work pattern: Mon–Fri – 37.5 hours a week
Salary: £51,500 Per Annum

Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join our Nestlé Waters team based at our state‑of‑the‑art production facility in Buxton, Derbyshire. As a leading bottler of premium mineral and local waters, our purpose is to unlock the regenerative power of water to enhance the quality of life for everyone, today and for generations to come. As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our production lines operate at peak performance and that the factory runs efficiently.
Responsibilities
* Being responsible for the creation of planned and predictive maintenance plans.
* Support breakdowns and participate in line improvements across the factory; act as Subject Matter Expert for your area.
* Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice standards for plant, tools and environment.
* Ensure compliance with the Nestlé quality policy, particularly engineering change management and line release.
* Record breakdowns, perform root cause analysis and own follow-up actions.
* Support root cause analysis activities and projects.
* Support the capability build of both the Shift Technicians and the Apprentice Technicians.
* Support and develop the AM team following the TPM roadmap on site.
What Will Make You Successful
The successful candidate will be driven to drive improvement across the warehouse and production facility. This role offers development both individually and as part of a highly skilled team. Other experiences and attributes include:
* NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent).
* Desirable experience in PET bottling environments, including filler and capper technologies.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others.
* Ability to lead and build capability; strong communication across all levels and the ability to work on own initiative.
* Ability to manage and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong understanding of problem-solving methodologies such as DMAIC, RCA.
* PLC experience (Siemens desirable, but not essential).
