Senior Engineer (Commissioning) at Kier - Natural Resources
Location: Hybrid work model (home, office, and sites in the Thames Valley region, initially in Harpenden)
Contract: Permanent, Full Time (flexible and part-time options available)
Responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior Engineer (Commissioning) to join our Wastewater Asset Assurance Programme (WAAP). You will collaborate with the project team to ensure all MEICA and process commissioning activities are planned and executed according to standards and the commissioning plan, including inspection and test plans (ITPs).
Your daily tasks will include:
* Managing and maintaining commissioning documentation on the Common Data Environment, including FAT, SAT, outage management plans, and ITPs.
* Developing the Design Commissioning Plan in collaboration with the Client commissioning representatives.
* Reviewing and approving project ITPs managed through Kier’s data environment.
* Working onsite with the supply chain to troubleshoot issues, ensuring safety and adherence to the project schedule.
* Leading reliability and performance testing, including producing reports to confirm compliance with client objectives.
Candidate Profile
This role is ideal if you have:
* Experience in a commissioning role within the Water Industry, working with Mechanical and Electrical plant.
* BEng, ONC, HNC, BTEC qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Strong judgment and problem-solving skills.
* Good knowledge of sewage and water treatment processes, systems, and typical M&E plant/equipment.
