The Opportunity
Our client is a global media and advertising organisation operating across audio, digital, and emerging media channels. They are seeking a UK‐based Media Buyer to support their international media operations.
This role is fully remote, however candidates must be based in the UK to support European vendor relationships and travel requirements.
The position focuses on vendor identification, negotiation, and relationship management across European markets. Hands‐on international programmatic buying is managed by a U.S.-based team, with this role supporting the function through strategic planning and commercial partnerships.
This is well suited to a strategic and methodical media professional who enjoys negotiation, planning, and external relationship management rather than day‐to‐day platform activation.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, evaluate, and build relationships with media vendors across the UK and Europe
* Lead commercial negotiations with publishers, platforms, and media partners to secure favourable rates and added value
* Support international media planning through vendor recommendations, pricing insight, and market intelligence
* Act as a key liaison between European vendors and U.S.-based programmatic and planning teams
* Maintain an up‐to‐date understanding of the European media and audio landscape, including emerging partners and trends
* Attend industry conferences and events across Europe to develop new vendor relationships
* Provide internal stakeholders with updates on market conditions, vendor performance, and competitive insights
* Support ad hoc media and vendor-related initiatives as required
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience in media buying, media planning, or vendor / partner management
* Strong negotiation skills with evidence of securing commercial value
* Experience working with media owners, publishers, platforms, or networks
* Audio or digital media experience advantageous but not essential
* Strategic, organised, and methodical approach to work
* Confident relationship manager with persistence in negotiations
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Comfortable working remotely with international stakeholders
* Willing to travel occasionally across Europe
