Keppoch Medical Practice is looking for an experienced GP Administration Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave for approximately 10 months from October 2025. Ideally we are looking for cover 2-3 days a week to support our acting Practice Manager and admin team while our Practice Manager is on maternity leave, but are open to discussions on availability. The role would be suitable for someone currently working part-time in another surgery or who has had recent experience working within a GP surgery.
The role will include dealing with patients at reception and over the telephone, processing prescriptions and mail, booking and cancelling appointments, signposting patients to the appropriate service, phoning hospitals, other services and many other administrative duties.
About the Practice:
We have four GP Partners and two salaried GPs looking after a growing list size of around 4000 patients in the Possilpark area of Glasgow. We are a deep end practice and part of the Possilpark and Milton cluster. We are based in modern health centre premises.
You would be joining an experienced team including a strong clinical and admin team, attached pharmacist, embedded financial inclusion worker and community links worker. We are also a longstanding accredited GP training practice.
