Part Time Accounts Assistant – Payables & Receivables
Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire | Onsite | Free Employee Parking
Hours: Part-time – approx. 25 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Employment Type: Permanent
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum FTE
Responsibilities
* Maintain and update customer records; create new customer accounts
* Raise and issue sales invoices and credit notes
* Send monthly statements and follow up on overdue payments
* Post customer receipts and respond to account queries
* Process and code supplier invoices and credit notes accurately
* Reconcile supplier statements and prepare payments when due
* Handle overseas payments and update financial records accordingly
* Maintain Excel-based tracking sheets to support weekly reporting
* Submit licensed sales reports to online platforms
* Reconcile credit card transactions and statements
* Complete weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
* Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and VAT reconciliation processes
* Support wider admin duties including filing, printing, and correspondence
What they’re looking for
* Previous experience in a similar accounts or finance admin role
* Familiarity with Sage and Microsoft Excel is highly beneficial
* Excellent attention to detail and organisation
* Proactive, approachable, and a strong team player
* Reliable and able to manage day-to-day tasks independently
