Clinical Pharmacist | Spire Bushey Hospital | Fixed term contract | Competitive Salary
Spire Bushey Hospital is looking for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join their busy team who will provide an exemplary pharmacy service in accordance with current legislation, accepted professional and ethical standards and clinical requirements.
This is a full time position working within the hours of 8am – 5pm Monday – Friday with Saturdays on an ad hoc basis. The role is currently being offered on a fixed term contract until March 2026.

Duties and responsibilities:
1. Plan, deliver and evaluate pharmaceutical care to meet patient’s health and well-being
2. Assess the health and well-being of patients whose needs may be complex and changing within the context of their medicines
3. Plan, monitor and evaluate the movement of medicines
4. Establish and maintain effective communication with various individuals and groups on complex, sensitive and occasionally contentious issues in a range of situations
5. Lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practices
6. Modify and structure data, information, computer records and stock management documents
7. Develop own knowledge and skills and contribute to the development of others
8. Assist with research and development
9. Promote best practice in health and safety and security
10. Contribute to quality improvement
11. Promote people’s equality, diversity and rights
12. Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI
The ideal candidate:
13. Master’s degree in pharmacy, or equivalent at time of qualification
14. Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient requirements
15. Worked in a pharmacy within a hospital pharmacy department
16. Oncology experience would be desirable but not essential
